Businesses in Nantwich

Nantwich is a medieval town steeped in history and as a business centre has a lot to offer, with over 250 shops and businesses to chose from.  Nantwich is a mecca for buyers of antiques and has a multitude of craft shops, delicatessens and high class clothes shops.  Antiques fairs are held regularly at the Civic Hall.

Historically Nantwich was dominated by three main trades, salt making, boot and shoes and the clothing and garment industry.

Today there is still an active clothing and garment industry but much of the industry in and around Nantwich is directed towards Agriculture, particularly the Dairy industry. NWF Agriculture is one of the largest companies supplying farmers in the North West who together with JH Lea Oakes Ltd supply much of the regions animal feed requirements. The Barony Employment Park provides large scale commercial and industrial accommodation for the town.

The town centre has recent years established itself as a thriving business community and tourist industry, attracting a range of pubs, Restaurants, Cafes, Hotels, specialist retailers, financial institutions, solicitors, accountants and many more, making up the very select and wide ranging mix of facilities and businesses.

Multi-national business such as Christian's have headquarters in Nantwich for their worldwide outlet in Kitchen and interior designs.  South Cheshire is also the home of several nationally acclaimed centre which attract thousands of visitors each year. Stapeley Water Gardens, Dagfields Crafts and Antiques Centre and Bridgemere World are all just a short journey from Nantwich.
