The
Division links into the Borough Council and is engaged in a wide range
of activities relevant to businesses.
1. Marketing and Inward Investment
A lead role in the marketing of the Borough for inward investment
and handling enquiries from companies wishing to relocate to the Borough.
2. Provision of Sites and Premises
The Borough Council aims to provide sites and premises and works
with the public and private sector to further the development of key
employment sites. Information on property availability locally is provided
and advice can be given to businesses on property and planning issues.
3. Research and Information Services
Research into the demographics of the area and the local economy
is carried out and available for businesses.
4. Tourism Services
A wide ranging service including the marketing of the area to attract
tourists, tourism development and support and the running of a Tourist
Information Centre in Nantwich. A Tourism Action Plan is currently being
implemented.
5. Attracting Funding and Europe
Through partnership working opportunities to attract external funding
to the area from Europe and other sources have been developed to improve
business links. Pursuing Europe on joint initiatives with twin towns
in France and Germany.

The Borough Council is a progressive local authority which offers
